Welcome to the 20-21 School Year!

Hello Delaware School Nurses!

Your Delaware School Nurse Association Executive Board would like to welcome the 20-21 school year!  This school year may look different, but our goal and mission are the same---assisting Delaware school children to achieve optimal health so that they are able to reach academic success!

The closing of last school year and the start of this school year is like no other.  We have never experienced the impact of a global pandemic.  However, school nurses worked together throughout their districts and statewide to continue to provide services to our students.  This year, our students, families, staff, and administration will be looking to school nurses for answers to questions and guidance in moving forward as we navigate remote, hybrid, and in person learning.  There has never been a time when the importance of school nurses is so needed and in the frontlines.

Nurses are resilient and we will adapt.  We know how amazing you all are and we applaud your dedication and passion to the students, families, and communities of Delaware.

We are excited about the upcoming school year and consider it an honor to serve you as your Board.  If there is anything we can do to assist you in your school nursing practice, please contact us with questions, concerns, or comments.  If you have any suggestions for how we are better able to help you, let us know.  You are not alone.   Have a wonderful 20-21 school year!

Mark your calendars for our virtual conference Thursday, November 12 and join us in the evening for “Caring for the Caretaker”.

Sincerely,

Your DSNA Board
